3 Tall Tipi Lamps for Nottingham City Light Night
Previous gallery index page Next

I was commissioned by Nottingham City Council to run a public-participatory workshop as part of Light Night on 12th February 2010.
I constructed 3 tipi lamps, cm, cm & cm tall covered with natural calico prior to the event.
I had collected and pressed over 350 green oak leaves from Sherwood Forest, and red oak leaves and yellow maple leaves from trees around the Old Market Square in the centre of Nottingham. The leaves were used by the public to stick onto the plain lamp fabric. There were over 100 participants.
